The Simular is a reaction calorimeter based around stirred and jacketed reaction vessels. It is a high specification automated chemical reactor with special features that enable rate of heat release from the reaction being performed, to be obtained. This information enables easier and faster scale up of reactions, safety parameters to be cacluated so that accidents can be prevented and has a user interface that makes it accessible to both research chemists and safety experts alike.

The Phi-TEC I is a computer-controlled adiabatic calorimetery system that can be used to determine the heat evolved and pressure developed during an uncontrolled exothermic runaway reaction. It is the modern alternative to the classic "ARC" developed by Dow Chemicals and compared to other "ARC" systems, it has unique control features that make it easy to use, provide excellent results and use up only a fraction of the laboratory space.

Phi-TEC II // Adibatic Calorimeter for vent sizing and accurate thermal runaway testing

The Phi-TEC II is a low PHI-factor (or low thermal inertia) adiabatic calorimeter with the capability of accurately simulating the behaviour of a large-scale chemical reactor under conditions virtually identical to a large-scale plant, while using only 10-100mL of sample. Since it simulates closely larger scale plant, it is often used to size relief vents to protect against thermal runaway, including venting two-phase vapour liquid relief.

This is a safety calorimeter designed to test safety problems of thermal runaway initiated by high temperature, overdischarge (too high current) and overcharging (too high voltage). It can be used to test large and small Li-ion & similar other high energy batteries and components. The BTC is based on the same principle as "ARC-type" (TM) adiabatic calorimeters - which is proven to be the correct platform for more than 30 years in the chemical industry.

On-line heat flow Calorimetry // Simple Reaction Calorimetry data for non-specialists

On-Line Calorimetry enables approximate heat flow data to be produced from standard jacketed reactors, rather than special calorimeters. The heat release being measured is displayed on-line, as the reaction proceeds and requires no knowledge of calormetery or calcuation by the user. The data enables easier scale up and an understading of hazard potential.
