Flow chemistry focus in HEL's 12th Conference, at Cambridge University

To celebrate the International Year of Chemistry 2011, HEL will be hosting a conference entitled "Flow and batch process development for hydrogenation and other catalytic processes", which will take place at the University's Chemistry Department Pfizer Lecture Theatre, on Tuesday September 27th.

Dr Ian R Baxendale from Cambridge University will be giving the Keynote Lecture.

Dr Baxendale established Cambridge's Innovative Technology Centre (ITC) in 2005 together with Professor Steven V. Ley as a Centre of Excellence for the study and development of advanced chemical synthesis tools and methodologies.

Other speakers include:

  • Dr Joel Hawkins from Pfizer in the USA
  • Dr T Moibrook, Prof E Bouwman and Prof E Drent, of Leiden University in the Netherlands
  • Dr Mark J Muldoon from Queens University in Belfast
  • Prof Allen Wright from Newcastle University, UK
  • Other leading scientists from both industry and academia
  • Limited slots open for further presentations.
